Commanders New Uniforms
Heading into my second year with the team, it didn't take long to realize that the 2024-2025 season posed a new opportunity for us. Fans were extremely excited about the new ownership, coaching staff, and (practically) brand new team. We weren't sure of what was coming but we could feel the new surge of energy and attitude from our football team. So, the goal with the creative was to match what was taking place on the field.

The Washington Commanders' 2026 uniform refresh was an opportunity to evolve the club's visual identity while reconnecting it to its history. As Creative Director, I helped lead the creative strategy, design direction, and launch of the new uniform system, collaborating across branding, marketing, product, and league partners to shape the collection from concept through reveal.
Alongside refining the primary uniforms with a more timeless, understated aesthetic, I helped develop the new black alternate identity, introducing a spear through the "W" mark that expands the Commanders' visual language. Inspired by the franchise's historical use of Native-inspired iconography while establishing a distinct identity for the Commanders era, the symbol reimagines the Commander's spear as a modern emblem of leadership, strength, and purpose.
