Commanders 2024 Season
Heading into my second year with the team, it didn't take long to realize that the 2024-2025 season posed a new opportunity for us. Fans were extremely excited about the new ownership, coaching staff, and (practically) brand new team. We weren't sure of what was coming but we could feel the new surge of energy and attitude from our football team. So, the goal with the creative was to match what was taking place on the field.

This work is deserving of a second writeup because we accomplished so much for the brand with the creative from this season. When I first started with the team, I chose to join because I saw the potential for growth and the opportunity to bring some life to a pretty generic Commanders brand. And leading into the offseason after my first season with the team, I had a very clear idea of where I thought the creative should be heading and I began building out our creative team to support that vision. I would love to take credit for all the creative "upgrades" but I have an extremely hardworking, talented, and complementary design team who helped bring the vision to life.
When planning for media day, we wanted to leave room for ourselves to grow with the, very new, football team on the field. However, one thing I felt should be apparent in the creative direction is the attitude, grit, and just 'swag' that was clearly present and being developed in the locker room. It mirrored the energy that can be found in the DC underground, so that's where we lived. Check out the work below!
